To get to the heart of Martin Davis’ story we have to go back to year 2010 when The Next Generation Sports (TNGS) together with the First Division Club of the Spanish La Liga league Valencia CF, organized their first football campus in Kingston, Jamaica.

In Jamaica, among 200 players of different ages, there was this young 13 years old player, who was a real headache for any opponent who dared to challenge him with the ball. His capacity in acceleration and ability at anticipating events on the field, made this Jamaican midfielder the ideal player for Spanish football competition.

Taking all these qualities in consideration TNGS technical team opted for Martin Davis to be a part of the TNGS High Performance Centre in Valencia, Spain. Once in Valencia and after following a strict technical and tactical program Martin Davis was able to play for Valencia CF youth team, and later for Puzol UD, and at the same time played for his national team as a Jamaican International player.

Martin’s efforts to become professional were not only followed in his native Jamaica but also in countries on the American continent. So much so, during an under 20 match, Toronto FC took notice of the Jamaican player.

Today, after one year playing in Kia Toronto FC Senior Academy, the NG Player Martin Davis has made a giant step forward in his carer by signing professional contract with Toronto FC.
